Mother's day

I'm finding it really hard to smile today. I'm reading about mother's day everywhere.. But I lost my mum over 6 years ago, but instead of being able to cope with it better, it seems to be getting worse. And the mummy feeling inside of me is growing, I can feel this aching inside of me, this wanting for an own child, to care for, to love with all my heart..

Today is a sad day ..  Love you mum!

Oh my!

Ik heb al telloze keren beseft dat het té lang geleden is dat ik nog iets gepost heb.. maar ik had er eerlijk gezegd ook geen zin in.. Maar op creatief vlak heb ik zeker niet stilgezeten! EINDELIJK kan ik granny squares maken, dus heb ik mijn eigen deken ontworpen voor mijn grote broer, hij verjaart op 16 juli. Mijn eerste rijtje is af, nog 29 rijtjes te gaan ^^,.

Het komend weekend zitten liefste liefje en ik in duitsland, in Willingen om precies te zijn. Zondag telt onze relatie al 5 volle jaren! Ben ik best trots op! :D Want in den beginne denk je wel, "ooh ik wil voor altijd bij je zijn..", maar als puntje bij paaltje komt, gebeurt dit niet al te vaak. En nu we bijna vijf jaren verder staan, lijkt het allemaal wat realistischer, wat vatbaarder!

Batterijen heb ik nog steeds niet gekocht voor mijn camera, geen zin in.. In mijn naaimachine heb ik ook al enkele weken geen zin, haken wel! :D Maar foto's kan ik dus niet posten.. :)

Echt veel te cute uiltjes!! :D

Wat te doen op een vrij verlof dagje?

Ha dat is simpel! Ik mocht vandaag achter mijn handtas die ik met Glam It* had gewonnen! ^^, In Antwerpen welliswaar!!
Je moest een verhaaltje schrijven over het grappigste item in je handtas. Mijn grappigste item was mijn zelfgehaakte muffin ^^,.

dit is de handtas, niet mis, maar ik zou het zeker niet kopen voor 120euro! :)

Het is van Object, wel vele handige compartimentjes!

Wat heb ik daarna gedaan? Naar de kringloopwinkel gereden in Gent, en daar een kasje gekocht voor 20 euro. Nu manlief gaat weer vragen "waarom breng jij toch zo'n brol mee naar huis?". Maar ik vind het gewoon leuk, hij vindt mij leuk, dus moet hij het maar aanvaarden ^^,.

Hier is het kastje.. Nog helemaal onder constructie as you can see.. Maar ik vond de krullingskes op de deur zo mooi, en de pootjes ook..

Op het eindresultaat zal je nog een beetje moeten wachten ^^,

It is not because you don't hear of me no more, that I no longer speak..

Ik ben hier volop bezig met allerlei creaties! Maar! Mijn batterijtjes willen duidelijk niet meewerken, want ik plug ze in mijn computer (heb coole plug-it batterijtjes die je via usb kan opladen ^^,), en ze weigeren momenteel dus om op te laden.. hopelijk één deze dagen willen ze wel meewerken.

Ik heb ondertussen een appel, cactus een monkeysock,.. gemaakt, en de foto's zullen zeker volgen :).

Ik doe ondertussen mee met mijn eerste swap! Spannend eh!! :D Het is "het grote voorjaarsswap", je moet er min 10 in steken, gekocht of zelfgemaakt met het thema "het voorjaar" in je achterhoofd. Ik ben echt benieuwd! Zelf weet ik nog niet goed wat ik er allemaal in ga steken in mijn envelop die naar nederland moet.. dus als je ideetjes weet.. let me know please! :)

Dat zal nu toch nog niet gebeuren, aangezien ik niet met zo'n reuzelappen aan mijn naaimachine wil zitten! :P

In the beginning of my boyfriend and my relationship,

I noticed something.

Whenever we were out, amongst friends he would act like that.

Whenever we were with my brother, his best friend, he would act like this.

Whenever he was with his sister he would act like ...

But whenever he was with me, he was like, my Tanguy.

I asked him, hey what is up with you being so multiple?

And he told me that he was still himself but with another mask.

I asked if he found that this was necesarry, and he said yes.

So many people have so many expectations of our being.

But I was happy that I got to see all his pieces of his puzzle.

Now I never wear a mask, I always showed everybody my me.

But now as I grow older, maybe a little wiser, I come to understand,

that if you live by the motto "take me as I am, or don't have me at all",

you will be left with a tiny bit of people.

So now, instead of confronting the people with their alterego's,

as I realised everybody has their own set of masks,

I might have to get a few myself.

Ik heb men titel zo'n beetje aangepast, allee mn banner.

 Het is mijn favoriete woord in het engels! 

Ik ben dus zonet naar het stoffenspektakel geweest, en ik vond het eigenlijk heus niet zo'n spektakel :(.

Ik kwam toe en moest nog honderden meters te voet naar de hal, de helemaal achterste hal! En ik kwam binnen, en zag oooh mooie stofjes! Dan ging ik naar de volgende kraam, ooh allemaal dezelfde mooie stofjes, en wat verder nog.. dus jah.. En 6 euro per meter vond ik ook niet zo spectaculair..

Maar! Ik heb wel een hele leuke ordeningsdoos gekocht! :D Al mijn garen kunnen er in, mijn knopen, mijn haakjes, echt alles zit er prachtig mooi in opgeborgen! Heb geen mooie foto aangezien mijn batterijen plat zijn, en ik er geen andere in huis heb!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

En! Mijn secret monkey is af! :D Ik heb niet kunnen wachten tot morgen voor valentijn, en aangezien wij geen valentijnvierende mensen zijn is het niet zo erg :p Alleen had ik ook een groot mooi kaard met "happy valentine's day" op :p.

Nog tien daagjes en het is mijn verjaardag! :D

Zodus is mijn aapje nog steeds niet toegekomen in Ierland, spijtig vind ik, en ik hoop echt uit het diepste van mijn hart dat hij toch nog gaat toekomen.
Nu ben ik een secret monkey aan het maken, voor men liefie lief, hij wou er eentje, dus ga ik hem eentje geven op valentijn! Ook al zijn wij (ik volg hem hier gewoon in anders kom ik zielig over) geen valentijn-vierende mensen. Neen, wij vieren elke dag ons liefdevol samenzijn. Stiekem zou ik het toch eens heerlijk vinden om eens verrast te worden! Op valentijn dan..
Het haken heb ik echt te pakken! Ik vind het leuk, het doet mijn vingers niet meer zo'n pijn en ik vind de resultaten echt enorm cute!

 

Ik ga wel iets moeten doen aan een originelere presentatie van mijn spulletjes, maar voor nu, ziehier! Lil miss cupcake! :)

Morgen is een heuse dag! Morgen vindt het plaats in Flanders Expo in Gent. Ik ben echt benieuwd! Nu skim ik ebay af in de hoop van echte leuke stofjes te vinden, maar het probleem met dat is dat die zo mini zijn, dan moet je 5 euro geven voor een stom lapjes stof van 56cm op 45cm ofzo. Dus ik ben echt excited :D!

Oh ja en ik tel af! Binnen 11 daagjes is het mijn verjaardag! Ik word dan 25 lentes jong! :D

Ik heb alweer een nieuwe hobby, oh lang leve de creativiteit! Neen dat betekent niet dat ik de aapjes achterwege laat, maar ik ben maar al te snel dingen een beetje beu. (ben steeds verwondert dat ik vriendje lief niet beu word! Een wonder op zich!).
Ik scimde zo een beetje van blog tot blog op zaterdag, en ik zei nu is het genoeg! Ik wil ook zo leuk kunnen haken, dus sprong ik mn auto in, reed naar boekenvoordeel, en waw! Ik vond er echt een heel leuk boek!
"Lieve knuffels zelf haken", het is een heel goed boek voor beginners, ook al duurde het tot zondag rond zo'n uur of 14 vooraleer dat ik door had dat ik ferme fouten aan het maken was, en dat daardoor men cupcakeje wat raar was uitgevallen!
Maar ziehier wel een leuk resultaat, m'n eitje ^^,.

En wat ik ook nog wil maken is een mooi stoffen cover voor mijn agenda! Ik zag er zo liggen in een boekenwinkel van "lief!" en dacht neen, 45euro ga ik daar niet aan uitgeven, ik ga dat gewoon zelf maken!
Nu moet ik gewoon nog de courage vinden om eraan te beginnen.

Ik heb zojuist ook stofjes "gewonnen" op Ebay, toen ik dit vertelde aan m'n vriend, wees ie me derop dat dat niet winnen is, want ik moet nog altijd betalen, maar toch! Ik ben blij met m'n stofjes, en ik kijk er naar uit om ze in mijn post te vinden!
Foto's komen er zeker van!
Wat ik met mijn stofjes ga doen weet ik zelf niet, ik zie wel eens ik ze in mijn handen heb!

Ooh saturday I went for a shop till I drop day @ Luik, Primark!! :D
I had loads of fun! Eventhough I didn't buy a lot, which is even better actually ^^, for my moneys!

But! Look here!

Is it not the cutest hat you've seen? I scored it in Claire's accessoires, for.. you would never guess.. 1 euro! I was thrilled ^^,!

And I am more proud to announce that my first order has come in! :D
A girl wanted a monkeysock, she said with stripes and dots, so here is the result, she is really happy with it, so tomorrow I am posting it :). I made a card to go along with it.

On the inside it says "for your purchase".
 I thought bout putting in some banana sweets, but then thought that it would not be a good idea with the sugar.. But as I love getting packets, I want to surprise my buyers.. Do ye have any ideas?

Soo! I have decided I'm gonna do some fimo-playing! :D
I have ordered some earringstuds, rings and special glue! Now I have to go and get some fimo!
Am really excited, and am hoping that I will be able to do it! It looks like it is really tiny detailed work,
and I don't know if I have the patience to work on a lil cupcake or bowtie till it looks the way I want it!

How I love being able to 'chat' to 'myself'. Prefer this to a journal!
My weekend was busy!! I went and visited my cousin, loved it! They all wanted their own monkey, so I am monkeyless.. besides my beloved Julius** :D.

So here they are all in a row :).

And here is the gorgeous Jade, she adored them, she wanted to keep the two to herself, and her sister wasn't having any of it! Was nice to see them kibble bout wanting their own monkey! :)

And we went and had dinner with my boyfriend's mom, we're wanting to buy a house from her. What a huge leap forward in our relationship!
We've been together for over 4,5years, and have been living together since we've been together for only three months. So we're sure, this thing will work ;).
But boo has only been working for four months now, if he could he would actually still be studyin :p. So yeah now we're ready to buy a housie, not quite yet, but mentally we are! Is the main thing.. no? NO! Cause this is a money world :(. But am sure excited :D.

I haven't made just one more monkey, nor two or three, no I have made four more monkeys! So now I have six monkeys, and one monkey still in pieces ready to be sewn up.
2 are for my cousins daughters as ye know, then one for my sister, one for my brother, one for my neice, and one for my neice in law! I have decided I am keeping my first one for myself, my Julius :)!

At the moment I am reading Love, eat and pray. I love the book, I always read a chapter or two before going to bed, a real good sleeppotion so it seems as I have been sleeping much better lately!
How I would love to go and have the time to go to Italie, to devoure al the sweet yummy food there, or go to India and find my inner self, and be at ease. Or go to where ever my heart would love to take me. But reality is, I am here, in this house, with the man of my life, and there is no escaping reality. There is no way of dropping everything I, we, have here to go and find peace. The everyday life cannot be escaped..

I tried painting again today, and I am not pleased with the result! Normally I just take a picture of something I like, and I paint it. The result is always something I am happy with. But now I chose to paint from me, without something to copy.. and .. no I don't like the result, tomorrow I am gonna try again, with another design in my head. Something more constructive than the 'free spirited' painting I did today. Hopefully that will work for me!

So now I am off, going to make some chocolate chip muffins... yum yum! :)

Monkey 2

Was scared to make a second monkey, as I had to live up to the first one. I was amazed by the result. My boyfriend said, make another animal, but nah! I went for a second monkey! So I have got the drift, and made monkey nr 2. It is real easy to make, and the result is very amusing! I have an order list already of people who want a monkey too.

 So here you are.. My boyfriend said the ears had to be bigger, so now they are! Can't wait to see my cousins' childrens faces! :) Will keep ye informed!

I just made Julius, a lovely sock-monkey from this website. And I am really proud of him :)!
Am supposed to give him to my nieces daughter, but I might keep him for me instead.. :p.
